The Student Leadership Council provides us with a
forum in which engineers can meet learning scientists. We find that
the council contains social and supportive elements in which we can
share our ERC experiences. We are able to learn of new ERC
opportunities through our fellow members and to gather information
about all students affiliated with ERC projects.
The members of our Student Leadership Council have backgrounds in both engineering and education and are graduate and undergraduate students from Vanderbilt University, Northwestern University, the University of Texas at Austin, and Health Sciences & Technology of Harvard/the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). |

The Student Leadership Council provides a forum in which engineers can meet learning scientists. Specifically, three responsibilities of our SLC are to 1) disseminate bio-engineering awareness and knowledge to underrepresented groups, local communities, as well as pre-college and postsecondary students and teachers via outreach projects, 2) provide an interdisciplinary forum for students to discuss VaNTH ERC outreach, "inreach," and research projects, and 3) connect SLC students to one another via periodic communication between sites.
We hope that this website will be an effective
tool for communication among all VaNTH ERC students. |
